The MCM Curriculum: MCM-Masters in Computer Management is a two years Course which was successfully launched in the year 1991.MCM is designed in such a way that it enhances and emphasizes on developing the technical as well as managerial skills of the students. Curriculum
The MBA Curriculum: is a two-year full time course divided into four semesters comprising of various concerned subjects. In addition to these subjects the Institute has been given the autonomy to design and introduce a specialization elective in each of the third and fourth semesters. Also as a part of the curriculum the students have to undergo training in a corporate organisation, for a period of two months, at the end of their second semester. Based on this, the students prepare a detailed project report pertaining to the specific assignment taken up by them in these organisations. Along with this all the MBA Part II Finance students are pursuing one year Diploma in Capital Market Management (DCMM) Program conducted by the Stock Exchange, Mumbai and affiliated to University of Pune.

The library is a veritable knowledge bank, which houses over 10000 Text Books and Reference Books in all the disciplines of Management Studies. We subscribe 284 Management & Computer Journals and periodicals of national and international repute.
The Library facility is made available to the students 17 hrs a day and 365 days a year. Library is spread over 5000 sq. ft. area, airy and ventilated. We also subscribe all the leading daily newspapers. A separate reading hall enables students to read and study in peace and tranquillity.
Seminar Hall & Syndicate Rooms
To support the unique teaching learning process at SIOM, there are two seminar halls and three syndicate rooms where the interactive sessions and the interface with the experts from the corporate world take place. These are equipped with audio visual aids like OHP, LCD, TV, VIDEO, etc.
Computer Labs
To facilitate hands on learning for our students we have five state of art computer centers which are equipped with more than 300 P-IV terminals. Students can use this facility from 8 am to 11 pm on all working days.

Admission Procedure : Sinhagad Institute of Management Pune
Documents to be attached at the Time of Admission
The application form for all the above courses should accompany attested true copies of the certificates / testimonials in support of claims made in the application. The details of certificates to be submitted are given separately in the application form attached.
Confirmation of Admission
A candidate at the time of confirming his/her admission i.e. at the time of paying the fees will have to bring all the certificates/testimonials in original for verification.
A candidate whose result of final year of degree course is not declared at the time of admission, will be admitted provisionally, only on submitting a bonafide certificate obtained form the Head of the Institution where he/she was a regular student of the final year of the degree course. The admission of such a candidate will be confirmed only after he/she provides a proof of passing the final year of degree examination before 30th Sept and satisfying the eligibility criteria. The candidates from Maharashtra state alone will be considered against reserved category subject to production of documentary evidence as per the rules.
All the students are required to apply to University of Pune for eligibility in the prescribed format which will be made available in the Institute’s office. All such admissions to MBA / MCA / MCM / MPM / MMM Programme effected by the Director, Sinhgad Institute of Management, will be provisional and shall be confirmed only after the grant of eligibility by University of Pune.
The admission of those candidates will be cancelled who are declared ineligible by University of Pune and no complaints in this regard shall be entertained by the Director, Sinhgad Institute of Management, on any account.
Fees
The candidates selected for admission should pay the fees under different heads and as prescribed by Shikshan Shulka Samiti from time to time. The exact amount of the fees payable by the candidate will be notified at the time of admission. The different heads of fees are as follows :

Rules of Discipline
The student should strictly obey the instructions given by the Director from time to time.
Student will be expelled from the Institute if found disobeying the orders of the Director and the faculty.
The student should be regular in attendance and his/her attendance for the day shall be marked only when he/she is present for all the sessions during the day. Minimum 75% attendance is compulsory for grant of term. If the student is found irregular in attendance, he shall be expelled from the Institute.
The student is required to submit the assignments failing which he/she shall be subjected to disciplinary action.
The vehicles should be parked on a place notified and the vehicles parked elsewhere i.e. other than parking zone shall be confiscated.
Student should drive safely inside the campus as well as outside the campus. For two wheeler users, use of helmet is compulsory.
The student should carry identity card with him regularly and the identity card should be produced when demanded by the authority of the Institute.
The student found guilty of an act of misconduct either in the Institute or outside shall be subjected to strict disciplinary action and may be expelled from the Institute.
The student should not cause any damage to the Institute’s property. The damage caused shall be recovered from the student immediately.
The attendance for the tests and tutorials conducted in the Institute is compulsory.
The student showing consistently poor performance in the tests and tutorials and failing in the Internal evaluation of the subject shall not be sent for the University Examination.
If the student is found weak in certain subjects he/she will have to attend extra classes as notified and make the required progress to come at par with the other students.
Strict silence should be observed in the Library. Loitering in corridors is strictly prohibited.
Smoking in the premises is strictly prohibited.
The students coming late shall not be allowed to enter the class.
The student should read the notices displayed on the notice board regularly and the Institute will not be responsible for the loss or any disadvantage due to negligence of reading notices on the part of the student.
Use of cell phones / cameras / camera phones is prohibited on campus.
Chewing pan, pan masala, any tobacco products, drinking alcohol, use of drugs and smoking is strictly prohibited on campus.
The above rules of discipline are always subject to change, modification, addition, omission or alteration as and when the Director feels it fit and proper and the decisions of the Director shall be final.
Anti Ragging Act: The Maharashtra prohibition of Ragging act 1999. Act of Maharashtra legislature received the assent of the Governor on May 15, 1999 and was published in the Maharashtra Government Gazette, Extraordinary, Part VIII, dated may 15, 1999.
S.3 Prohibition of Ragging:
Ragging within or outside any educational institution is prohibited.
S.4 Penalty for Ragging:
Whoever directly or indirectly commits, participates in, abets or propagates ragging within or outside any educational institution shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years and shall also be liable to a fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees.
S.5 Dismissal of student :
Any student convicted of an offence under S.4 penalty for ragging shall be - dismissed from the educational institution and such student shall not be admitted in any other educational institution for a period of five years from the date of order of such dismissal.
S.6 Suspension of student :
1 Whenever any student or, as the case may be, the parent or guardian, or teacher of an educational institution complaints, in writing, of ragging to the head of the educational institution, the head of that educational institution, shall, without prejudice of the foregoing provisions, within seven days of the receipt of the complaint and if, prima facie, it is found true, suspend the student who is accused of the offence, and shall, immediately forward the complaint to the police station having jurisdiction over the area in which the educational institution is situated, for further action.
2. Where, on inquiry by the head of the educational institution, it is proved that there is no substance, prima facie, in the complaint received under sub-section [I], he / she shall intimate the fact, in writing to the complainant.
3. The decision of the head of the educational institution that the student has indulged in ragging under sub-section [1] shall be final.
As per the notification received from the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, a Protocol Committee has been set up to look in to the matters regarding ragging.

The Computer Laboratory
The Computer Laboratory, equipped with the latest hardware and software, is where well-qualified faculty, in computing skills, trains students of various programmes. The Laboratory is quite spacious and houses three servers and PCL server, MSSQL server, MS Project Server 2005, My HR, Tally Placementor, 21 UPS systems, 27 Airconditioners, 6 LCD Projectors, Novell Netware 6.5, Windows 2003 and Linux. 400 Pentium nodes are attached to these servers. All latest application Development environments such as C, C++, Java, Oracle, Visual Studio .Net, Power Builder, Rational Studio, MS Office 2003, SPSS & ERP softwares are available.
The Computer Centre is a place where students can use Internet Services, Printer Services, CDs on various courses; and can prepare their Seminar presentations. The Centre has multiple nodes, My HR, ERP, Placementor training softwares for students placements, printers, scanners and CD writers to serve the students effectively.
The library is well enriched with a collection of about 20,000 books and 800 CDs on various subjects related to the curricula of different programmes.
Hostels
The hostel buildings are spacious and properly ventilated. The hostel rooms are well equipped with fans, tube-lights, cupboards (lockers), cot, chair and table. Every hostel has spacious dining hall where meals are provided at reasonable rates. Each hostel has a recreation hall with a color T.V. Facilities for indoor games, internet, telephone/fax are available. Each hostel is installed with a solar system to provide hot water to the students. Medical facilities are also provided in the campus.
