Eligibility: Candidates have to fulfil the following requirements:
i) Must have passed on or before the specified date, a Bachelors Degree Examination in any faculty of this University or a Bachelors Degree Examination of another University as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate (45% in the case of candidates belonging to the reserved categories, viz. SC, ST, Denotified Tribes, Nomadic Tribes.
ii) Must have secured minimum 35% marks (30% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories as mentioned in (i) above at the Common Written Test in order to be eligible to apply to any of the Institutions recognized by this University for conducting the M.M.S. Degree Course.
Selection Procedure: A Common Written Test (CWT) of two hours duration carrying 200 marks is conducted by the jamnalal Institute of Management Studies (J.B.I.M.S.) of this University at Mumbai for all candidates desirous of seeking admission to the M.M.S. in the various Institutions recognised by this University for conducting the M.M.S. course. Each Institution may prescribe a percentage of CWT marks higher than the minimum specified in (ii) above for admission to the Group Discussion/Personal Interview at the respective Institutions. Each Institution conducting the M.M.S. Degree Course will short-list the candidates on the basis of marks secured by them at the Common Written Test and only the Short-listed candidates are called for Group Discussion and personal Interview by the Institution. The CWT result is displayed at the Institute by specified date. The candidates finally selected for admission to the M.M.S. Degree Course will be admitted by the Institution on the basis of the total seats sanctioned by the University as given below:
a) At least 70% of the total seats sanctioned in the Institution will be filled in by the candidates who have passed the Bachelors Degree Examination of the Universities/Bodies other than the University of Bombay, out of which 50% are reserved for candidates belonging to the reserved categories.
