Eligibilty:
Candidate must hold a Bachelors Degree of any statutory University with at least 50% (for SC / ST Categories: 45%) marks.
Students who are in the final year of their bachelors degree education may also apply. Admission of such candidate will be provisional and will be cancelled in the non fulfillment of the stated criterions.
Graduate passing degree examination by part-time / correspondence course or in more than one sitting are not eligible.
Important:
It is the responsibility of the Candidates to ascertain whether they possess the requisite qualifications for admission. Having been admitted provisionally does not mean acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be decided by Symbiosis International University.
Preference: Engineering graduates, graduates from disciplines like Pharmacy, CA / CFA / ICWA / CS (completed) will be given preference. Work experience (full time) of more than one year will be granted preference, subject to verification of copies of work experience certificates (on company letter head for the claimed period).
International Students
Eligibility Conditions for International Students:
The basic eligibility criteria applies to International Students Category also.
International Students may fall under any of the three categories listed below :
1) Foreign Nationals (FN): Students holding passports issued by foreign countries are included as Foreign Nationals.
2) Non - Resident Indians: Only those Non resident Indian students who have studied and passed the qualifying examinations from schools or colleges in foreign countries will be included as international students. This will include the students studying in the schools or colleges situated in foreign countries even if affiliated to Boards of secondary Education or Universities located in India, but will not include students studying in those schools or colleges (situated in India) and affiliated to the Boards of secondary Education or Universities located in foreign countries. Students passing the qualifying examinations from Boards or universities located in foreign countries as external students and dependants of NRI studying in India will not be included as international students.
3) PIOs : Persons, holding a PIO card, who are citizens of other countries, who at any point of time held an Indian passport, or either of his parents or any of his grandparents was a citizen of India.
Selection Process
Phase-I:
Candidate has to appear for SNAP Test on 16h December 07. The SNAP test score will be one of the parameters for short-listing the candidates for GD / PI. Other parameters include academic background and work experience.

Phase-II:
Group Discussion, Personal Interviews, Group Activity & Written Communication Test. The Group Discussion will be based on a case study, which will be followed by personal interview. The Group Test would evaluate the soft skills required in a managerial position and the written communication would evaluate the ability to write concisely & coherently.
Final Selection:
The final selection of students will be based on the performance in Phase I and
Phase II.

How to apply?
Last date for registration 5th January 2008.
Purchase the SIIB Prospectus & submit the application form enclosed with the Prospectus to SIIB by 5th January 2008.
Candidates not complying with any of the above will not be considered for admission to SIIB.

Registration for SIIB is complete only after receipt of application form at SIIB office before stipulated Date & Time.
How to procure Prospectus:
Prospectus can be obtained by following means:
From SIIB office: against cash payment of Rs.1200/- or by sending a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.1200 / - drawn in favor of “Director, Symbiosis Institute of International Business” preferably from a Nationalised Bank, payable at Pune.
From centers of IMS learning Resources Pvt. Ltd./ Career Forum / PT Education & Training Services Ltd. against cash payment of Rs.1200 / -
SIIB offers two full time residential programmes i.e. MBA – International Business (MBA – IB) & MBA – Agri Business (MBA - AB). Cost of the prospectus is Rs. 1200/-, which allows you to select any one of these two programmes. For selecting the other programme also, an additional amount of Rs. 1200/- is to be paid DIRECTLY and ONLY to SIIB by way of DD drawn in favour of “Director, Symbiosis Institute of International Business”, preferably from a Nationalized Bank payable at Pune, along with the Application Form.
SIIB would not be responsible for non delivery / delay in submission of application forms owing to reasons beyond its control.

Mode of Payment of Fees: Fees will be accepted only by way of Crossed Demand Draft. Students who are granted admission will be required to submit the Demand Draft in the SIIB office on or before the prescribed dates. Admission is treated as confirmed only after the clearance of the DD in the bank.
Refund of Fees: (“All disputes subject to Pune Jurisdiction only”)
If admission is cancelled before commencement of the academic programme, Rs. 1,000/- will be deducted & the balance fees paid by the student will be refunded
If the admission is cancelled after joining the course & if the seat consequently falling vacant has been filled by another candidate by the last date of admission (i.e. one month from the date of commencement of the course) then
Deposit will be refunded 100%
Tution Fees / Hostel & Mess Fees
If paid annual fees: 1/12th of the fees paid will be deducted & balance amount will be refunded.
If the fees are paid for 1st Term only: 1/6th of the fees paid will be deducted & balance amount will be refunded.
No Refund of fees will be admissibale in case admission is cancelled by the student after one month of the commencement of the programme
Online Registration :
Online Registration for Entrance 2008 will commence in November 08.
